Studies have shown that about half of all US couples getting married do some of their wedding planning on the Internet. They "surf" the Internet, looking for those who can provide the services needed for their wedding.

Wedding Yellow Pages.Net was started by Rev. Daniel L. Harris in 2002. He is one of the top wedding ministers in the Chicago area, and performs over 200 weddings each year. With over 1,000 requests yearly, he has to turn down about 80% of them because he simply can't perform every request. He would often hear couples complain about how hard it was to find a wedding minister who would perform their wedding outside of a traditional church setting, such as in a hotel, country club, golf course, hotel, park, garden, boat, etc. He realized that this was probably true for couples all over the US. And that other wedding officiants all around the country needed a better way to reach those couples who were looking for their non-traditional services. So he founded Wedding Officiants.Net to help solve this problem.

The purpose of Wedding Officiants.Net was and is to provide the Internet's largest directory of US wedding officiants. By searching many different public sources, Rev. Harris found over 3,600 ministers and wedding chapel officiants who could perform wedding ceremonies, both traditional and non-traditional. This new Internet directory was created, and the response nationwide was tremendous. This was exactly what couples getting married were looking for - choices!

Rev. Harris then expanded this original concept into Wedding Yellow Pages.Net. This new and comprehensive website would now include all types of companies and individuals who provide wedding-related services, not just "wedding officiants."

The public response has been tremendous. Because of their information value, these sites are already in the top 2% of all visited websites worldwide!
